Key Words!

Postby reznor70 on Thu Aug 27, 2009 6:37 pm

So... keywords are important, but quite annoying to try and come up with. You want enough so people can find it, but I think too much is cluttering searches as well. I found something today that is amazing.

http://arcurs.com/keywording/

This nifty little site finds keywords for you.

1. Type in your description.
2. Photos will come up that fit that description.
3. Check images most like yours.
4. Go to bottom and click "Accept chosen images and proceed to the selection of keywords"
5. Keywords show up and give you stats on which get more hits.
6. Uncheck ones that do not apply to your image or that you do not want. Keep in mind 30 is probably tops, so you'll need to uncheck 20 or more, but some are quite useless.
7. On top right - click botton " Show the list of chosen keywords"
8. Copy and paste in here!

Amazing right? I love it. It will save me tons of work. :)

Does the system limits the number of keywords we can introduce for an image?
and what about non-english keywords, i always insert spanish keywords along with the english ones. Do you think this is helpful, it's the same or is obstructing the way keywords work?

Nope, we don't have a limit on numbers of keywords. You think we should have?
Np about non-english keywords, I think that is very helpful not only for MMS, but for google/yahoo search system too.

Ok, no number limitations, I prefer no number limitations. :) and I haven't thought of the google search engines, great!
I'll be updating my keywords with the site Paula recommended.

By the way, do three-letter keywords work properly?

I believe it's a problem being worked on. There is a thread started here --> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43 - Not sure if it was officially fixed yet or not. :)
