so is it administrators or moderators you need? i'm sure there is a big difference in privileges and expected tasks.

well it's just i'm a mod on the 3d forum, albeit i do nothing in the way of moderating there. but as a mod all you'd be expected to do is delete spam and close threads that are going no where. incidentally, if i had to move a thread to another forum would i be able to - since i only have mod privileges over 3d?

but as admin, you'd be more responsible keeping moderators in check a long with making decisions that would normally be out of a mod's control. like someone who was trolling or checking PM's.
EDIT: would admin have the privilege to allow/disallow uploads?

while it's not needed now it will in the future, assuming you expect MMS to grow into large user base, is a sub forum that only the mods and admin have access to. for topics that need to be discussed not on the open forum.

Good point. If you think you should have more privileges and more responsibility please mail me and we can talk about that. I know you have more experience in the forums than I so you need to know that your knowledge is welcome here.

I’m sure I will not have a “big brother” who will check others moderators because moderator can only be the person of full trust. Yep, trolling and checking PM need to be checked especially because of spams which will grow with the growth of MMS. We will see which model of “control” we will use in MMS2 forum. Sub forum is also great idea and I think I will add that really soon. thnx

i think a moderator should be one not relevant to any particular sub forum. if a moderator needs to move a thread or delete spam, then that should be across the board. likewise if a thread needs to be closed. i'm not sure that moderators need to delete accounts - spammers or trolls. it depends on the work load that administrators have to deal with. i can imagine that approving images takes a certain amount.
but admin will also be able to appoint new moderators should they be needed. keep in mind some mods will be away from the site for different reasons. e.g. i was gone for the last month to try and concentrate on photography. i was also doing a little work (3d ).

having said all that i know that is more upload orientated than discussion orientated, so the forum will probably take a second place over all.
