5000 Artists

Bravo - that is really something. 5000 of us contributed to MMS and that number is still growing.

Personally, I think this is the most important task for MMS in 2010 - to gather as much materials as it is possible. People are choosing other sites only because they have bigger amount of stock. Over 8000 materials is a good score, but still not too many, comparing to 400k that SXC has. I think 50k or even 100k is a minimum.

And, of course, the problems with search engine. "Car" is one of the most popular image people search for. And here it gives NO results. No wonder people are not tied to MMS...

i have quite a lot of photos (well over 6000) on my pc, but i've uploaded only a few. mine lack quality, but maybe i should have a look again.

Freddyhard, don't be so harsh on your requirements. Me working as a designer in a marketing agency and in constant need of fresh photos can tell you that sometimes the most simple things are hardest to find.

ie.
I had some big problems finding simple photos of a billboard or folded newspaper or empty business card or nice pen photo taken from multiple view points for some photo manipulation. It doesn't have to be an artwork or superb quality as im using those photos so i can apply my creative work in photoshop on that billboard or business card so i can present it to my clients. Those kind of photos are very useful even if low quality.
If im designing some newspaper and need to put some pics between the text im using just for showing I need some simple "newspaper" pics of a street or field or some random structure, anything can be useful cause im trying to match colors of my design and colors on some random photo. Note that those kind of photos are not used in my final work but just for presentation of my own work to clients.

So sometimes it doesn't matters if it's not superb quality. For me it's better to find any kind of photo than to have no photo at all so when i don't find nothing I usually take my (not so good) camera and take that photo my self. I only wish I have your skills but i don't, so my photos are garbage so it probably takes me 5 times longer to take some medium quality photo.

Please keep sharing guys, you make my work much easier and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll try to upload anything useful also in hope that someday my work will be useful to someone as well.
